Flyovers are a beloved feature of Texas A&M home football games, often featuring Aggie pilots.

Thanks to a large number of Aggie aviators in the military seeking to take part, the tradition has expanded this spring to A&M baseball games, with flyovers at the home opener, Feb. 17, and the first conference game, March 17.

The next is scheduled for Tuesday night, March 28, before the Aggies' game vs. the University of Texas.

Tuesday's flyover will feature "many Aggies on board" a C-5M Super Galaxy the Air Force's largest aircraft, too big to land at College Station's Easterwood Airport, said Maj. John Parrish '03 with A&M's Corps of Cadets.

Whenever needed, The Association of Former Students helps provide hotel accommodations for the football flyover crews, and this has continued into the baseball flyovers. This part of the A&M gameday experience both inspires pride and connects with the Aggie value of selfless service.

Damn. I've seen C-17s before, which are incredibly huge. I don't think I've ever seen a C-5 before. Gonna have to make sure we catch it.

Which direction do they fly in from for baseball games? We're in south CS and are right under the Kyle Field flyovers.

I'm not a fan of flyovers at baseball. Not for any other reason other than there doesn't not appear to be a natural flight path, and they have to navigate the light poles and other objects. Makes me nervous.

Wouldn't all they have to do is fly a little higher and this problem would be solved? Then you could love flyovers for baseball and not have anything to complain about.

Loudest flyover I can recall was a B-52 back in 2011. Went almost right over my house on Hasselt St.

National Anthem is 4 minutes before first pitch so we are guessing (approx 5:50 - 6pm) and they try and time it at the end of the Anthem.

C130 flew North to South and we expect the same flight path so the folks in the stands can watch it approach.

This answer is a big SWAG.

It's come over my house twice. That thing is huge!

It's steady circling just north of Bryan now and you can still tell it's gigantic.
