Saw my first bluebonnet today!

I got dibs on the first claim..

Sitting in a bluebonnet patch kills the flower, and it wont make seeds, and the patch dies.. IF you MUST take photos of your kids in BB's... find an area behind the flowers that are bare of BB's... shoot with the flowers between you and your subject..

We have some neighbors that have them growing up a slope in their yard. It's perfect to position the kids on the curb and stay out of the flowers.

I saw this one poking up on our lot in Steephollow last week and posted on the outdoor board on a bluebonnet thread there. Hoping for a lot more when I go out this afternoon.

I saw a lot of them blooming along the slope under the HWY 21 bridge on 6. I think the warm weather last week got them going well.
