Any woodworkers here have a scrap piece of maple they can let go (or sell me)? Or is there a place you can recommend in town that might have something smaller than a whole sheet? We are needing a piece to test some stain colors against.

Ive got some if you wanna holler at me.. but you can buy it at mccoys... soft maple.. which is still pretty hard. but...

doubt any local mill would have maple.. its not much of a local tree... mostly they have oak... lots of oak... tons of oak.. and mesquite, pecan, elm, cedar.. ash... hackberry... honeylocust... beech....
