Want to pick up some tamales to bring home for tomorrow's dinner so that we can focus on cooking for Thanksgiving. Where do you think has the best?

I can't vouch for them, but I believe there was an earlier thread asking the same thing, and the majority answer was Jesse's Taqueria and Bakery in Bryan.
Tio Tamale is the best. He's doing Sunday pick up only right now, though.
Jesse's are truly delicious- but, as someone raised on darn good authentic tamales, the HEB delicatessen ones are surprisingly tasty! Grabbed them on a whim one time, opened a can of charro beans and made a batch of Mexican rice. That was a satisfying dinner.
We tried Casa Rods last week to see if we might want to make a Christmas order and they were pretty darn good.
Jose's are pretty good, imho
Bump to see if anyone has more input? Thought about asking my cleaning lady if she knows anyone, but not sure if that's appropriate!
Agree on H-E-B tamales. They are surprisingly good.
Texas Tamale Company in the cloth bag are good in a pinch.

I went to HEB today. $10 for 5 HEB tamales or the other brand??
We like the Mi Tienda brand. That's HEB's brand. I don't think they are that expensive. Not sure about the others.
I was in a hurry and quickly picked these up and didn't realize there are only 5 in the package until I got home They are terrible!! Blehhhh!!
Oh no! We have not tried those. The Mi Tienda pork tamales come 12 in a package.
Noe's Kitchen on hwy 6 about half way to Hearne (attached to the Valero) has pretty decent tamales. They are on the smaller side, but are 12 for $12.

Have not had them in some time but I recall Jesse's having them, and they were mighty good.

Between Saenz and Gina's there were some good places that just disappeared.
My favorite store bought tamales are the ones that Kroger sells in the ready to cook "meals" section.

I'm sure they are good, but, and this is a personal opinion, I would never put their information online in a public forum stating they make tamales. That's a great way to get someone massively fined by the health department (I'm assuming they are making them out of their home, which makes them illegal to sell).
