Same TV, same price at both Costco and Sam's. Which place is best?

Both Sam's and Costco have the same 75" TV at the same price. Is one place better than the other (we have the lowest membership at both) with regards to warranty or ease of returns if there is a problem?

You always have to check the exact language for each product at Costco but for many electronic purchases they will double the manufacturers warranty.

Depending on the price you may want to upgrade your membership for a % back.

If you buy at Sam's be sure to save the original receipt, no photocopies or scans. I'm not sure about Costco's return policy.

You have to be an Executive member instead of just a regular member to get the 2% cash back at Costco and an Executive membership costs $120.

Meanwhile a Sam's Plus membership also gives you 2% back and only costs $100.

You may not be aware, but if you have an executive membership at Costco, and don't use it enough to make it pay for itself in the cash back, they will give you the difference at the end of the year. Just something to keep in mind.

Whoa. I wasn't aware of that. The exec is $60 more so any spending over $3k is gravy cash back. Thanks!

I was told the same thing by Sam's club.

new costco sign ups, at least for now, get a GC for $20 that kind of makes up for the difference. I think that's how they're combatting the price difference.

Also, check the warranty. Costco normally will throw in an additional 1-2 year warranty on top of manuf. Not sure if Sam's does that.

The Costco Citi Bank Visa card gives 2% back on either membership, so you get 2% or 4% on purchases. No annual fee for the card, although you do have to be a Costco member. It gives 3% backbat most restaurants, as does a Sam's credit card.
