My understanding was ease of delivery and route. Everywhere listed is either in a major metro area, or on an interstate that connects major metro areas (and refineries). BCS, while we do have hwy 6, isn't really "near" a major metro area, and we aren't on an interstate, and we aren't really close to refineries (but close enough that a driver basically can't go many other places without maxing out there drive hours or having to find a pipeline fill Station to refill their tanker (or head back to houston)

The shortage of CDL drivers (and especially those with hazmat endorsement) also doesn't help.

If logistics are the reason gasoline is higher in BCS, then why does GasBuddy show $3.39 a gallon at both the CEFCO and Papa's Country Store in Hearne while the best price in Brazos County is $3.54 at Costco? Among the possible answers are collusion and college students.

It's almost to the point it's worth driving to Hearne to fill up.

It takes one station to break the "gas cabal" in BCS, for prices to fall.

It's probably worth pointing out transportation expenses and the fact that the gasoline terminal for trucks is in Hearne.

So how does that explain gas being way cheaper than BCS at cefco at 50 and 60 and in somerville ? Currently $3.45 at Cefco

Waco area gas is also currently 12% lower than BCS as well

No. You didn't read my post. I said it was worth pointing out. Didn't say it explained. Slow down

Quit the hand-wringing and be glad prices are going down.

On 105 at the Chevron just west of Dobbin, $3.29 with cash. Just 5 cents more with a card.

Could be worse. We were traveling for vacation most of the last two weeks and everywhere in Utah was right at $5.00.

The cheapest we saw was Childress on the way back at $3.29

is it cheaper than 3.55 anywhere in BCS? Currently 3.07 in Waco.
