Had a transmission rebuilt in town and it lasted only 1 1/2 years. It was from a local business. I would research how much a new one would be. How long do you want to drive your car once repaired?

be careful though.

in my case the OEM had a design flaw and the transmissions were problematic. If you just go with a "re-manufactured to OEM Specs" option, you may not solve whatever caused the original problem.

I had Oliver Bros. upgrade some of the components since she hauls her horses with her 'burb sometimes.
