His current hair gal has quit (retired) and he has business to conduct in B/CS on some days for the next few days.

Needs a haircut before he has to to go see his Mom before her upcoming hip replacement surgery.

Any recommendations? Name and location would be helpful.

Thanks guys, The Hubs is really picky about his hair. Yes he still has a full head of hair and it's not even gray yet at 63. But it is fine hair, so the cut is important so he doesn't look like he has a "bowl cut"

Frankly, he wears a hat so often, I'm not getting that but meh, it's his thing.

Keep 'em coming so he has a selection.

I went to Chuy for about two years, I think my last hair cut there was in early 2021. I love the guy and really enjoyed talking to him about whatever barbershop talk he had for the day but he cannot consistently cut my hair how I like it. I'd say 50% of the haircuts I received from him were OK but other times he would get carried away and I'd come out of their with a totally new cut. I began working in the Houston area full time so I had to find someone else here to cut my hair. Great guy and I'd still give him my business just because if I was still in BCS but Hawg's husband sounds pretty particular and I don't think Chuy would do him right.

This was my husband's experience after we moved back a few years ago. Chuy is a great guy but neither my husband or son ever got the same haircut from him twice.

They switched to Hudson and have been very happy.

I tried several places in town for awhile. Eventually Whitney cut my hair one time and when I came home my wife said "I don't know who cut your hair this time but make sure you go to them every time".

That was back before she had her own shop. She's been my stylist ever since.

Check social media to see when she is working. I don't go if she's not there.

Your husband is a very lucky man….I only wish I still had enough hair to be picky about my stylist (which now consists of my wife and some dog shears)

Interesting. I have always gotten a good cut from Chuy. But to be honest, I've probably gotten less and less picky about my hair as I've aged. **** always grows back ... And, hawg, Chuy is this little gnome of a guy who is very learned and always has good conversation in addition to your haircut. Grew up in Alice ... lots of good stories there ... wants to retire in a couple more years, does dirt work on the weekends with some semi-heavy equipment he owns. He is a cool man. Whitney is not a barbershop, it is a style shop. Please report back on your man's thoughts about the experience.

Bobby (formerly at Southgate before they closed) is there as well and has been cutting my hair for years. He's a perfectionist. FWIW, I have ultra fine hair that is difficult to work with and he cuts it well every time.

yes, i had to switch to an appointment based shop because i couldn't keep waiting hours for a cut.

I'll put in a vote for Bobby also at Boonville Barber Shop. He's been very consistent for me. Even trims eyebrows!

Hudson is where I moved after Sonny cut it since 1982

They're great and its a real man's haircut experience if you are into "the experience "

Sometimes a 30-45-60 minute wait but the banter between everyone in the room is great. Cool.

Reminder to chill and enjoy the little things and real conversation instead of heads buried in phones

I went Saturday. Got there just after Whitney arrived. She already had a family of four in her chair area.

She cut the hair of the kids and maybe the dad? Not sure. When she was done someone that knew her well was walking in. He was looking to get a haircut. They visited. And then she called me next. He had to sign in and wait like anybody else.

I haven't seen the issue you described and I go every month.
