I'm looking for a vehicle to get me around for the next 2-3 months while mine is in the shop. Would consider a purchase with the hope I could turn around and sell. Anybody? (I don't really expect anyone to want to loan one for a fee.)

You might check the Turo app. Someone on there has an Outlander for $40/day when rented for 30+ days.
