Any recommendations for active church youth groups in the area? Not just a social club, good Bible teaching as well?

Both of our boys (7th and 10th) are in the youth group at A&M Church of Christ. They have Bible studies/classes Sunday mornings and Sunday nights as well as Wednesday nights. It is a good size group...not too big, not too small.

Are you looking for any certain denomination? Catholic / Protestant?

Central has a good youth group with regular Bible studies / activities on Sundays and Wednesday nights.
The "big" events are
Beach Retreat in the fall
Disciple Now in January
Jerusalem Project over Spring Break is a "retreat" where they stay at the church overnight and do service projects each day during the week
Virginia mission trip each summer prior to Covid which start again as soon as they can.
Honduras mission trip
Youth Camp in the Summer

We're prefer primarily proud Baptist churches (no stealth Baptist churches) but the most important requirements are a) whole Bible literalists b) active youth group yet still focused on discipling teens regardless of denomination.

Not want to start theological discussion just looking for suggestions.

There are many young folks at 1st Baptist CS. I haven't info on the programs other than to say there are a number of them.

Username checks out.

But seriously, that narrows it down to First Baptist Bryan and First Baptist College Station for the largest youth groups that meet your criteria. I'd visit both and see what everybody in your family likes. If neither suit you, you can work your way down the list of smaller Baptist churches in town.

I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.

Please come visit us at First Baptist Church College Station. Our youth leader is Josh Price and he is very passionate about youth. He'll tell anyone who will listen that youth leadership is not a stepping stone for him to church pastorship - it is 100% what he has been called to do. It is reflected in his leadership. Our students are close knit to each other and very encouraging in The Word so they come out of youth group with a strong Biblical foundation. We would love to have you visit us this Sunday. Church services at at 8:30 and 11:00 with Sunday School in between at 9:45.

You need to check out Central. Call up to the offices and ask to speak to someone, ask questions. Visit the church and then talk with folks after. Email the preacher if you like.

I will second this. Great youth minister who helps parents develop leaders. He is very intentional to create opportunities for the family to be involved as well.
