The one day per year that people think about actual print newspapers, they go for the money grab and double the price!

Obviously the interest today is driven by the Black Friday ads, not necessarily for the "journalism", but you'd still want to make a good impression, right?

Maybe a few high-value, noteworthy local stories to splash across the front page? You know, make it clear that if you aren't getting the paper, you are out of the loop. Nope. Just a huge, ugly Happy Thanksgiving banner and two stale stories syndicated by the AP from Georgia and Kentucky that could easily appear in any publication in the country.

What a joke of a paper.

We got a free plastic sleeve of ads thrown in our yard this morning, about the size of the Houston chronicle. We don't subscribe to that trash, but was surprised to see it. No actual paper inside, just ads. I figured the advertisers paid to throw them as part of getting foot traffic in the door.

The Eagle didn't even publish a print edition on Thanksgiving. You were buying a day-old paper for double the price.

The city should ask homeowners if they received the unsolicited trash in their yards and for each one fhe Eagle for littering. They have no right to throw trash you my yard.

Yes, phone books go from the porch to the recycling bin, don't past go, don't collect your $200….
