We just replaced our washer.
Old one needs a $200 repair (per Buddy's), so we just bought new one instead since this one was 10 years old.

I have in the past seen ads on Facebook groups and while driving about people who buy/pick them up, but of course, now that I actually need the service, I can't find those again.

Exactly.
I see guys with flatbed trailers circling my neighborhood multiple times a week and they always have a load of castaway appliances.
