Did the F-22s fly in just for the flyover then leave again? I don't think I ever saw them on the ground or even doing practice runs.

We know nothing about when they arrive, when they practice, when they take off before the game, nor when they will depart.

THEY'RE HERE!

OR at least some modern fighter plane just buzzed the office on campus. I barely saw it, just heard it.

i don't know what those were. I saw them over the airport... Two of them. They were really quiet. Double tail, not delta wing. Looked sort of like an F-15 but I don't think they were. *shrug* Didn't get a great look

So the planes wont be landing at Easterwood. The runway does not meet the length requirement for the command higher-ups.

The runway is shorter than an aircraft carrier?

I would have thought 7000' would have been long enough but apparently it is 8000'. An F-18 by comparison needs 5200.

It was. I edited to change 5150 to 5200 because 5200 is needed for take-off and I was trying to avoid snarky comments about them being to land and not take off.

Bonus points for knowing the meaning of 5150. ;-)
