Is there any public place to have a picnic in town where glass bottles (like, say, wine) would be allowed? Asking for a friend.

I've picnicked with a wine bottle and plastic glasses at research park and no one has said anything
forgive me if I sound weird, but I dont see why or who would really care?
Most parks have rules against glass containers because people break them and don't clean up after themselves.
Portable wine carafes are fairly inexpensive. They're insulated and can keep white wine chilled.

in my 52 years of living in BCS, I've never seen a police officer at a park, let alone one chasing people down with glassware in their hands..
Seriously dont think anyone would care.

But for most of your years, we haven't had Karens willing to call you in over every little thing
Lake Bryan has a strict rule forbidding glass in the park. It's a safety issue, as lots of barefoot kids and adults running around out there.
I personally think it's a great idea to not allow glass containers in parks.
