Compared to flu and RSV that is trivial. They don't share any information but I'm 99% certain those kids have other health issues.

I'm all for vaccinating kids with risk factors, I think it is foolish to vaccinate all 12-18 year olds especially with the recent data on myocarditis cases and that the vaccines are not very good at preventing the spread of delta variant.

Last night on tv, there was a segment of a hospital up north in another state. Apparently, the local network there ran a story about how they were full of kids with covid (in the hospital). A check of the hospital, according to this news segment, yielded the hospital saying: "We don't know what they are talking about. We are not full of children covid patients."

Apparently, it was a made up story by that local network.

You have to be cautious of what you read, especially CNN. They (CNN) were the ones who talked about the black hole theory when that Malaysian airliner went missing. I mean, really?

Because the fear factor would subside and it is needed for continued control of the masses. I no longer watch the news, err... the propaganda machine that is the free press. Check headlines every few days to make sure America is still free.

I understand distrust of media due to poor messaging. But why Internet randos are somehow more trustworthy is incomprehensible.

But in full disclosure I don't buy into conspiracy theories like so many do.

Feel free to believe what you like. I only posted links to information. Information that the MSM isn't bothering to tell us - including medical studies, and reported injuries from the shot.

I've said all along - choose the shot or not. Personal choice... But make it an educated choice - not because you do it without finding out all the facts.

So basically you don't care if the media is presenting bias, inaccurate, incomplete, or outright false information about the virus, so as long as it presents what you want to hear so it confirms your terrified view of the virus.

There was a time when the media had some amount of honesty and could be trusted. Now they've become at best a lazy entity who puts out stories which are 90% tweets, or random fluff. At worst they are actively working to push a very specific narrative and agenda, with no regards to the truth or reality.

If that were true, yes I would care. But attributing this to a relatively small fry operation like KBTX (apologies to the KBTX staff who I genuinely like) is the height of paranoia and silliness.

Not everything is a conspiracy shrouding layers and layers of furtive and terrifying agendas.

Good grief it's justKBTX.

On the plus side, this would be a great Parks and Recc style sitcom: a small town media network besieged by a handful of locals who think they're at the heart of a diabolical conspiracy to inject the town's residents with scorpion DNA or whatever.

The shot do not seem to be working that great. The UK has had similar numbers recently.

It's not being communicated because Israel is one of the most vaccinated if not the most vaccinated countries in the world. This news does not service the agenda.

I think it's higher transmissibility makes the slope on both sides steeper..it works through its susceptible population faster.

It is obvious that KBTX is suppressing facts from the public. It doesn't take a genius to do their own research and find credible facts that discredit the mainstream narrative. It is very frustrating to not have a credible source of local news. And hopefully the mods won't take this thread down.

He is the first reason I haven't watch that news in years. So when did the earth's climate begin changing suddenly? Seems it's been changing since its creation.

I can't remember another August in the brazos valley that was not in the 80's at sunrise. But you know, global warming.

It's both pathetic and sad that a community this size has such a poor local news report. There are national news reports if someone is interested in that. That 30 minute slot should be devoted to stories of local interest.

Pfizer is FDA approved for 16+ not 12-16. The 12-16 is still EUA.

I've just read just about every response to this thread and the trend appears to be many folks arguing against vaccines and looking for "evidence" don't understand basic statistics. The astonishment over the high number of breakthrough infections in Israel proves this. The story FlyRod shared explains exactly WHY "Why isn't there talk about this in America?" - because it's not news to anyone who understands how numbers work. As for KBTX, from what I've seen they do a good job reporting how a pandemic that has claimed millions of lives around the world is affecting the local area. I say we cut them a break, take science seriously, and stop jumping to conclusions based on a poor understanding of science and statistics.

Before y'all go losing your d@mn minds and desperately try to interpret facts in a way that fits your predefined narrative I encourage y'all to step back and examine the situation objectively. The massive effort to hide the truth some of you seem eager to buy into sounds a whole lot like a conspiracy theory and those nearly 100% of the time turn out to be bunk.
