Please be kind, patient, and cautious on the roads Saturday, especially with the rain forecast. There will be lots of riders coming in. This event was supposed to end here last year, but they were forced to cancel.

If the weather isn't bad, find a spot on the route to cheer for the riders!

How did we get involved with this mess? Route map looks like a spaghetti bowl of road blockages.

They had already planned to move the ending to Kyle field last year. I don't remember exactly why. It wasn't because of Covid.

Because that's a cool place to finish a race. And there is plenty of space for everybody.

The end was shifted to CS because the City of Austin was no longer interested. A couple of years ago it shifted from the state capitol building to COTA but last year COTA wasn't willing to commitment to a date early enough so they started looking for alternatives and A&M and CS were eager to bring it here. Next year is already committed to end here but the route will be much more traffic friendly. This years Frankenstein routes were due to it being a one day event. Next year it's back to two days so everyone will converge in LaGrange on day 1 then ride to CS via Somerville. The whole group will make their way from Somerville to 50 south of FM60 then to campus on FM 60.
A fearful society is a compliant society. That's why Democrats and criminals prefer their victims to be unarmed. Gun Control is not about guns, it's about control.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I also thought it was some sort of Covidian screwed up logic as well. Then again actually makes sense on more reflection. Austin seems to always pick the stupid option given choices.....
