We're in Williams Creek and the chlorine smell in the water is extremely high today. Anyone else? Tried calling Welborn water but the line is busy.

We frequently have a heavy smell of chlorine in our Wellborn water. We live in Creek Meadows in sight of the water tower.

We've used Jacob's Well in the past for drinking water. Still buy Ozarka too. Both are excellent for drinking and we avoid the extra chlorine and who knows what else that way.

I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.

We use Jacobs as well. Just the smell yesterday and today is overwhelming.

So this is an interesting discussion! Reports of increased chlorine odor from customers on three different water supplies. Source water and disinfection method are important to understanding taste and odor concerns in drinking water.

The source of drinking water for both Bryan and College Station is the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer, a confined aquifer thousands of feet underground. College Station disinfects with free chlorine, not chloramines. Most of Williams Creek is on Wellborn Water.

Here is more information about College Station's water treatment process: https://cstx.gov/departments___city_hall/csu/water/water_production___treatment

Here are links to all of the local utilities' latest Drinking Water Quality Reports:
