Looking to take the fam out for crab legs. Any suggestions?

M Beaux's has them on the menu. Never had them there, though. Too much other stuff to try.

If you don't mind an hour drive, The Crab Station in north Houston is excellent.

If you're going to drive an hour, go to Floyd's or BB's Tex Orleans in Cypress.

Are you averse to making them yourself?

All crab legs are cooked and frozen on a processing ship before hitting land, so the stuff you buy frozen or thawed at HEB and steam at home is of exactly the same quality and freshness as you'd pay a premium for in a restaurant.

Either way, you or the restaurant are essentially seasoning and reheating already cooked legs.
