So far looks like frost cloth did an amazing job. Veggies and tropicals a tiny bit tattered but all very alive and well. Amazing stuff. Thank you Producers.

Which cloth did you use?

The white one they had in rollers plus white frost bags from Amazon. I'll try to get the specs.

Update. All citrus have lost their leaves. Holding out hope as they are still "green" under the bark.

Biggest surprise was vegetable garden coming through completely unscathed and now back to normal.

I lost broccoli but salad greens, beets, and carrots all survived.

Wish I would've researched beforehand; lost some very well-established plants. I did not prepare for the severity and length of cold weather we had. I thought my routine frost prevention steps would work. Live and learn.

Tbh I prepared as best I could and lost a huge chunk of stuff. Gardening in Texas is optimism at its finest.

I lost a pomegranate for sure. Jury is out on the satsuma and lemon trees. They are completely desiccated, but I did protect bark and graft sight. Holding out hope!

How fortunate, but even better if the beets had joined the broccoli. ha ha

My almost 5 year old loves beets. He was the one who asked to plant them.

Roasted beets are incredible. Make for some interesting diapers though.

Amen to that! The baby loves beets, sweet potatoes, and purple sweet potatoes.

I covered my garden with dead leaves and received the same results. Dead broccoli and the rest survived for the most part.

I took some precaution and bought more spinach and romaine starters before it hit. Now I hardly have room to plant them...

Dead leaves was a good idea. I used hay in places and it worked beautifully. Should have done more.

Well the Antique Rose Emporium is going to make a small fortune on me soon...
