Insulated concrete form. Tornado, fire, hurricane proof. Closest I found in a search was in Katy. Nothing like this in BCS? With the cost of framing up, maybe this is more attractive than before. Plus your house is build faster and your insurance costs lower.

I haven't looked closely at it, but would imaging the earthwork and footings required to make it work in the Brazos Valley clays might make it undesirable / less attractive.

I was just doing some light research on ICF with compacted sand and foam foundations a few days ago. Interesting stuff.

There was that 1 that was built off of Lincoln and Nunn, it has since been torn down

The rumor I always heard was that a professor built it, had pex ran through the walls for geo cooling. Didn't work, I remember seeing window units in most rooms as I drove by
