Called last week to confirm their hours for this week -- was told they'd be open M-W 8-:430 and closed Thurs/Fri. Went out at 2 pm to pay the property taxes and found them closed with a county sheriff/constable directing people to come back Monday at 8 am. Guess my plans Monday now include sitting in line for an hour to pay the taxes. (Looks like I can pay them online - but don't want to pay 2% for the "privilege".)

Yes, I could have paid them earlier, but I'd rather not give them my money any sooner than I have to.

Mail it as long as it is postmarked by the 30th all is good

Or use their handy drop off box and save on postage.

Do not rely on the CS post office to postmark on the date you drop mail at their facility. That cost me $900 back earlier this year when postmark wound up in Cypress 2 weeks later.

At a minimum, send certified.
