Probably. I've normally said yes on threads about the mall's survival, but with the uncertainty about Covid-19 I don't feel quite as certain.

It's in the bankruptcy court trustee's hands now. I'm actually surprised it took this long.

This mall, like many, seems like a good candidate to convert into a multi faceted medical specialist facility

I walked through there a few months ago. It was dead. I don't see it surviving unless they do something totally different or are able to bring in new vendors.

As long as Taste of the Tropics stays open I can survive. Honestly the only reason I've been to the mall at all.

And apparently the COCS is passing an amendment to allow other types of businesses to go into the mall as opposed to retail. Call centers and medical were mentioned on the radio.

It's somewhat inconvenient to get into the mall, but these strip malls are a beating. In and out of the car and being in rain and summer heat aren't great either.

What they need to do is build multi-story condos or apartment buildings on the Pennys side on the outside of the parking lot. A real nice community could be built with access to the mall, restaurants and Wolf Pen Park. That would bring more interest for more restaurants and other retail businesses such as the Water park, miniture golf, etc to consider the mall site.

- for $25 Million Dollars, I'll offer to build a Golf Ball Driving Range on top of the Mall w/ a Large Net on the West Parking Lots + Add some Koi Ponds + a Giant Outdoor Movie Screen.



- Won't be Top Golf, but in case the first floor becomes all rented out to Amazon, we can have movies + Golf + Move the Corner Roof Top to the Mall's Roof Top.

I don't work for them but I know the owner. Yes, they were offered better leasing terms.

CBL are good guys out of Chattanooga. They have had an extremely rough year and don't see them making it unfortunately. They own mainly your old school big box malls and a few newer concept "towncenters" (Pearland TC being one).

People are eyeing these type of properties all over the country and have been even pre-COVID. Unless it is a complete sale and redevelopment it is a lot more complicated than you would think for just a partial redevelopment. Most big boxes actually own their shell with some parking and there are cross access and
parking easements that create a headache of red tape.

Anyone in favor of this has never lived near an Amazon facility. 18 wheelers coming and going 24/7. The one in San Marcos has to have cops at the nearby intersections to direct traffic during shift change.

BCS doesn't need more entry level, $12 an hour jobs from notoriously bad employers.

No thanks. I'd rather it be invested in by someone for something, anything and give people jobs. Popping up permanent shelters is not an answer. We'd wind up like san fran or LA.

ppl pay $$ per hour to use whatever colorful TikTok Booth one desires.



- it's Fun , No one gets hurt and would use like 100,000 sq feet of space for ppl of all ages to waste time..



will consider investor/ partners on venture to help build 100 colorful tiktok booths + DJ for rent by the hour

I didn't even realize that Post Oak Mall was bound to retail only. We don't need more call centers, though.

i don't understand why they haven't built a stand alone somewhere else after all of these years. They must have a good rent contract

Pretty sure everyone in the mall has a good rent contract. Even a few years ago, they were almost giving space away.

I am surprised the COCS hasn't tried to buy it for twice its market value for a convention center (and then later sell it for 75% of what they paid)
