Since most of the normal birthday locations are closed or not allowing gatherings, I'm looking for suggestions for a place to hold a birthday party for a 6 yr old and about 5-6 friends.

He wanted Altitude, but they are closed right now. Powersports is a bit pricey for a party, but I could do a one hour rental.

I would look at just going to a park, but November is tricky weather wise for outdoor activities.

Any other suggestions???

Urban Air, but I think they are right there with Powersports price wise.

You could rent out a theater at Premier (maybe Cinemark does it too). Looks like they have Monsters, Inc.

We actually went to one of these a couple weeks ago and the kids just ran around and jumped on the stairs the whole time.

Have you tried keeping 5-6 yr olds still for an hour and a half?

If it's just 5-6 kids isn't Grand Station still open?

I haven't. But I figure that's what would happen.

I would think goofing around in an movie theater where you are normally supposed to be quiet and sit still would be a fun time and a memorable experience for a 6 year old. But if they have already done it, the novelty isn't a factor anymore.

Not 5-6 kids, 5 and 6 year old kids is what my understanding was.

Renting inflatables at your own house would be my recommendation.

From the original post: " birthday party for a 6 yr old and about 5-6 friends."

Looks like it is around 5-6 kids, but also that same age range

Looks like Urban Air is still open and about half the price of Powersports, so we will probably go that route!

Thanks for the suggestions.

We discussed this as well, but it's the November weather that makes this hard to predict for outdoor activities.

Kid with an early Nov bday here too. It's a crapshoot on outside stuff every year.

For that age, just have them all over to the house with 2-3 planned activities. Any place that does parties and is open, the cost isn't worth it for that number of kids. Most places do a package of a specific head count and you can add more at a cost or go to higher priced package.

We are hosting our soon to be 7 year old's birthday party tomorrow. He wanted a football theme. Inflatibles were sold out in town since most are not renting their full inventory due to cleaning them more stringently. We have a few games set up for them.

We fight this every year with a November birthday. We have lucked out the last two years hosting at home.

Grand Station is not hosting parties right now but you can still get a couple of lanes. We almost went that route but decided against for cost.
