Mine went up 2.77%. There are 6 comparables in MLS that sold in the last year all below mine and their square footage is off by 800 square feet. Should be an interesting fight.

Awesome, ours went up 8.69%. You would think/hope with the state of our world they would put a freeze on this for a year, but guess I should know better.

Fairly certain requests were made to do just that but denied at the state level.

Up 8.5%. Anybody know the best route to pull comparable sales for my area so I can argue this? Can I do it online somewhere or will I need to get in touch with a real estate agent and see if they will pull comps for me?

I really dont understand their request from the state. Just lower the rate to offset. They may be capped going back up but dont hide behind the state.

Land up nearly 9%, Improvements up nearly 12%, overall up nearly $25K. No reason for either. Will be protesting.

They raised my appraisal 16.4%! The actual assessment capped off at 10%, but come on. Ain't no way. I guess I get to virtual protest before ARB this year.

Real estate agent is fastest. Whoever was the broker on your purchase should be willing to do it as a courtesy.

Down all of 0.7% overall, but land value went up 16% ($7k). Tell me how a quarter acre lot in an old subdivision gains that much value in a year...Next year will be fun.

Strangely, my brother and I have the exact same assessed value. Wonder how that happens.

Ours went up roughly 40k. I'm not sure why either. We bought it this past year, but it shouldn't have made the value go up that much...

2.5% increase overall, all in home value. Land stayed the same. I keep inching closer to the age where I get to freeze it and I'm going to do that do fast they won't know what hit them.

Mine went up as well.. but valued at what comps in my area are selling for.
Sucks, but got no basis to protest.

Appraised for 17% higher than last year, about 69k increase.

My house went up $30k (more than 10%). Rent house $25k.

We had one sale at the end of our street where they gutted and rebuilt a home and added a bathroom.
SORRY, that is not a comp for my house!
