As the title says, anyone know? Yet to be determined if this collection event will happen?

As per the Twin Oak website, the spring event is canceled.

Next event is October 24, 2020.

Balls....I have been waiting for ever to get rid of a bunch of old empty paint cans. Well, looks like its going to be a midnight run to the nearest public school dumpster.......

If they are empty, just throw them away.

If they have a little paint in them, take the lids off and let the paint dry & then throw them away.

Regarding Paint:

Disclaimer: This is what I've heard via personal conversation with others and seen on some google searches. Please confirm for yourself or hopefully we'll have others on this thread confirm / refute.....

Latex paint: Can be disposed of in regular trash if dried out. Landfill cannot accept liquids. If true, mix cat litter into the can holding the remaining liquid paint, this will speed up the drying process.

Oil based paint: Nope, need to dispose like a hazardous waste.

Like I said, seek confirmation before doing anything.

I guess all of the chemicals that I need to get rid of will now go in the trash.

Somewhat related - anyone know where I could legally dispose of a few gallons of old diesel fuel?

Offer for free on the outdoor board. Lot of brush control experts over there, and it's typically used in a 50/50 mix with Remedy herbicide.

I'm pretty sure you can take it too the landfill. I took oil and hydraulic fluid last week. I think they'll take fuel as well.
