Howdy,

I am seeking volunteer judges for a speech and debate tournament that is in College Station on March 27-28.

The students range in ages from 12-18, and they are primarily from BCS, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. The speeches fit into multiple categories including humorous, persuasive, impromptu, and debate so there are styles of speech to interest everyone.

I am attaching the flyer and happy to answer any questions people have. To sign-up, please go to https://www.ncfca.org/2020-college-station-tx

Thank you,
GrimesCoAg95

This is a great program and judging will make you feel better about our young people! My son participated for years and I'm sure I'll judge a round or two. Great to see a tournament in College Station!

Was there some kind of city wide meeting where everyone decided to host events that weekend?

It's Vet School Open House, the Texas Science and Engineering Fair AND Big Event

I used to judge UIL and TFA when I was in college (
I competed in high school). Havent done it in years. I forget how someone got a hold of me to judge, but i think it was through UIL. I also had the opportunity to go speak at a UIL conference in Austin that helped hs kids learn the basics of some of the events.

If you have the opportunity, judge! It is truly amazing the knowledge and talent these kids have!

It's like this pretty much every weekend of the spring semester. Because of the central location, the university, and the desire to be more than just a football town, we host SO. MANY. EVENTS.

I know. Pablo competed with BVRC his Freshman thru Junior year of high school. He might come back to judge for the tournament but it depends on his work and school schedule.
