Taco Bueno and Dave & Buster's would be great.

Houston's is awesome if you're over 70.

Pretty sure the Houston's demographic in Dallas and Houston isn't the over 70 crowd. But hey, hopefully you'll make that age and check back in with us....

Got dragged there by the in-laws once years ago. I thought I'd gone back in time to 1982. Never been back.

If you want to go out of business
The ones in Houston closed a few years ago, but they've been reopening, at least in three in the Houston area plus one on the Seawall.

But for me, I'm going to go with Jet's Pizza.

The one on College Station closedmany years ago, also. That was after the city used eminent domain to take the Nortgate property from mom and pop sandwhich shop and resold the property to Teaxadelphia.

We don't need any more but to play the game, somewhat, I'd open a Koppe Bridge location in downtown Bryan.

But this time I'd find a manager that would demand that the service and operational approach mimic that of their other locations. Wasn't it them that tried "The River" or something like that next to the LaSalle Hotel? If that was them, it was a sad attempt at whatever they were trying to do with dreadfully slow food delivery and disinterested servers. I don't think it needed to be that way. I'd like to see a Koppe Bridge with the same predictable service/style as the other ones move downtown.

rant
But mostly, I'd just like to see some of the solid local one-off mid-level restaurants (downtown and elsewhere) upgrade their wine lists (not to high end stuff but just to better selections with the same/similar margins). And similarly, I'd like to see everyone using the off brand sodas abandon that nasty idea. Only a Coke tastes like a coke, and only a Dr Pepper tastes like a Dr Pepper. That other nasty stuff makes me pick water or beer when I really just want a Coke with my burger.

They did have a Koppe Bridge in downtown Bryan. I think they called it Koppe River Bridge or something like that. This was ~ 15 years back. Didnt last long.

Been there done that. They were here years ago on University, across from A&M. It is now a Taco Bell.

Could never understand why it did not work out in College Station.

It left because the landlord went way up on the rent. Actually the last 6 months or so that they were there, they were always packed when I would eat there. They got treated really bad. Too bad. Really nice people

All the folks wanting In-N-Out:

1) Yes it would be a slam dunk.
2) In-N-Out does not franchise. It is private and all stores are corporately owned.

Alas, all that land is owned by TAMU. They'd have to build out on 21 or elsewhere nearby.

Wienerschnitzel in Bryan disagrees. That place is printing money.

I have lived here since 1983. I drive by that place almost daily.

I have not once in my life ever stopped there to eat.
