My wife and I have been out of town for a few years and now that we are back, are looking for recommendations for a good quick date/snack of chips and queso. Any help is a appreciated. Thanks!

Agree. I've been eating queso in this town for 40 years. Pepe's still has the best, bar none. You have to mix the red sauce in it. That's what makes it Pepe's queso.LSCSN said:

Urban Table surprised me with good chips and queso- nice spot for a quick date. I'd go back, at least.

My favorite quesos in town are Fuego, Mad Taco GQ dip (queso with a dot of guacamole), Freebird's, and Cafe Eccel queso. You can easily have a date at Mad Taco or Cafe Eccel.

Speaking of Pepes and I know Ken Martin has passed but I still think they'd kill it if they did another CS location. Can even charge a tad bit higher on the prices than Bryan to make up for the rents.
