If you're an Association of Former Students donor, you help provide accommodations for the flyover crews on Aggie football Game Days! Thank you.

Well dangit, the F16's are just going to flyover the stadium on Saturday.

They will not land at CLL before or after.

Listen my friend,

Some of us just love to visit the airport and oogle them in person and perhaps take a few photos!

Dammit!

Haha, I know, I know. Your photos are fantastic so I would definitely prefer they stop at the airport for that reason alone. Maybe take some in-flight photos. Mark Fingar style.

They were on the sidelines, so if they didn't land at Easterwood, they must have punched out somewhere else.

I called Astin on Friday morning and they told me the pilots were not landing.

So i'm pissed if the planes are sitting at Easterwood right now!

From Premium so take it with a grain of salt.

"This was true. The reason the pilots were not introduced until the 4th quarter was that the flight crew flew their f-16's back to Ft. Worth. I do not know the reason, but an F-16 is not allowed to land at Easterwood. All the pilots were then flown back to College Station in a single plane so they could be introduced. I know this was the case, as the guy sitting next to me last night has a brother-in law that was one of the pilots."

That is just dumb. Seems like they could have done a video remote or pre-recorded announcement.

The pilots have always been announced at that time of the game and that is with landing at Easterwood.

I realize that they could fly to Ft. Worth in very little time, but they can't go full speed, can't break the sound barrier over the CONUS. Then, the passenger plane would have to fly back. I don't see that effort being done to introduce the pilots during the game.

I call BS on that because I have personally seen F16s land at Easterwood.

Just to follow up, Eliminatus did have it correct - after the flyover, pilots flew straight back to NAS Ft. Worth JRB, then got shuttled to Meacham Field, private plane from there back to Easterwood, and on to Kyle.

No details on who didn't want the 16s on the ground at Easterwood, just the catch all "security reasons."
