My parents live in Bryan and will be celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary in late June. We need a nice place to hold this event. We have thought of a few places but since we only get to B/CS occasionally we are not familiar with all the venues. Can someone give some suggestions for locations? Thank you.

Would help if you gave more info on what you are trying to do.... number of people, budget, sit down dinner vs stand up party, etc...
Provide some more details, Will it juts be your parents? How big of a group? Will small kids be attending? Any preferences, s there anything they like or do not like???

Well, they say they don't really want a large "party" but we need to do something since this is a rare thing. Maybe a luncheon or dinner for maybe 20-30 people. They love seafood but they will not spend the night with us here in Katy any more.

I'd say Cafe Eccell. They have different sized private rooms, a lot of space, and a good menu with seafood options. I do know the semi private is more affordable there than the private rooms as they have minimums.
Ronin in downtown Bryan. You can either rent out the restaurant space or their farm.
Ronin Cooking at the Ice House on Main will be more special for your needs. Amico Nave Italian also has a space.
Christopher's for brunch on Saturday or Sunday if you want to make it special. They can handle a group your size well.
