Nope. Rarely go to Caldwell and when I do, it's just passing through.

Been twice now. The pot roast sandwhich and crawfish ettoufe were as awesome as I remember. Tried their fried Baudouin balls and wasn't overly impressed. My buddy had their shrimp salad for some reason and it wasn't all that great. Pretty basic with not enough shrimp. Stick with the classics and you won't be disappointed.

Yes, had the shrimp and craB gumbo. It was as awesome as it used to be. I'll definitely be making the trip more often.

I know the Cajuns are good at taking marginal food items, and turning them into something delish, but I'm not sure about the recipe above....

Have read some very positive comments from the Caldwell locals (on Hebert's, not the dish above).

I tried the Etouffee and gumbo. Very good.
