For the past several days, this dog has been wandering around our area. He seems healthy but is skittish and will not let anyone approach him. My guess he got out on New Year's Eve. As of 5:45pm he was on Greens Prairie Rd. and multiple people were pulling over and try to help him but he won't let anyone approach him. This has been posted on NextDoor and Brazos Lost & Found Pets. I really hope this guy finds his way home but he seems lost.

Over the years I've learned sitting down quietly, especially with a hot dog in hand, dogs will stop, begin to inspect, and possibly approach.
Following and calling seem predatory to an animal that may or may not know you.
Low, quiet, uninterested is much less threatening.

It seems like this year there were more than usual holiday, firework related losses.
Sad.

I saw him today as well. Definitely seems lost. He ran from me
