The Rib has to work Thanksgiving Day (perks of working in healthcare) so me & my brats (ages pre-teen through early teen) are looking for a place to go volunteer. Are there any free meals or other charities needing help?

Howdy!
First, and foremost, we would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you that signed up as volunteer delivery crews for our 2017 Thanksgiving Baskets event. Your efforts and support contributed to over 400 families in need right here in the Brazos Valley. With provisions enough to feed 8 to 10 people per basket, approximately 3200 to 4000 community members were able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with friends and family that they might not have otherwise had. The volunteer delivery crews are crucial to this type of meaningful impact and the Rotary Club of Aggieland could not have been as successful without you.
For 2018, we're digging deep, increasing our goal, and hope to provision 450 local families with Thanksgiving Baskets. We've also changed our assembly and distribution point (formerly Lock-N-Roll) to A&M Church of Christ (2475 Earl Rudder Fwy S, College Station, TX 77845). Similar to last year, we'll need 100 teams to deliver at least 4-5 baskets/team and we'd prefer that each team be comprised of at least two folks.
Can we count you in as a Thanksgiving Baskets volunteer deliver crew this year? To sign up, please click the "signup" link below and choose from our six "Thanksgiving Basket - Delivery Driver" time spots, ranging from 8:00am through 9:30am, on Saturday, November 17th, 2018. Please email me if have any trouble signing up using the signup.com link directly below:

From all of us at the Rotary Club of Aggieland, thank you all in advance for volunteering! Please forward this email along to others you know that are interested in serving. We are grateful for your service and for helping those disadvantaged in our community.

Epicures Catering and TAMU Chartwells cooks and packages meals for people each year on Thanksgiving. We have volunteered with them and with the Rotary Club (listed above) as well.
