That's what I told her.
They flew directly over our house. I would imagine at full speed you would have no idea they were coming if they were headed straight toward you.
They do have a pretty unique sound delay.
Heard them flying around and went out to see how close they would come. At one point they came within probably half a mile of my house near Wellborn. Had them between me and the sun basically, so not the best situation, but managed a few shots before they landed.
I thought the vapor trail trailing behind was pretty neat. I guess the back lighting helped to highlight it.

They put on a fantastic show this afternoon!
They flew over the house on their downwind approach after circling. Second time I have seen an F-35, but what a surprise with 4 of them! The sights and sounds of freedom!

The Iranian Air Force still flies the F-14, you can find some pretty cool videos on the interwebs of the old girl still in service.
When they came in this afternoon my son heard them and got startled and said "what was that?" I finally got to say "son, that's the sound of freedom."

I love the sound of freedom flying overhead this morning. A special "thank you" to the pilots who are flying this weekend.
They always fly over our street low on the approach and when they flew by today, husband noted the jet on the east side was having to adjust more than the others. They fly so close together it is amazing. Never gets old.
Anyone have a video from the stadium?
The flyover was so overcast that the photo looks like it was edited in black and white.
If I ever do a cross country to KCLL I'm letting you know ahead of time Dubi
