Exactly. If they rush in and he gets even one shot off and it hits and kills an officer, who's going to think, 'It was worth that life lost because at least the situation didn't drag out another 12 hours.'

Yes, due to the high number of VIP's that come through A&M or the Library we have a local FBI and Secret Service office. I have no idea where they are. But when I worked at Rudder Theater we dealt with them often.

The Houston field office has 4 satellite offices called resident agencies. They are in Beaumont, Bryan, corpus and Texas City. The Bryan one address is in the wells Fargo building on briarcrest. I believe at one time it may have been in the upd building on West campus but that may have been DSS

Doubt they often miss? I would wager to say FBI agents are in deadly force encounters FAR less often than any other type of law enforcement.

Edit to add: You also don't know details such as the angle they were shooting from, the distance, how much of the target was visible, and what kind of weapon was used. All play a factor in being able to hit something. Saying or assuming they intentionally missed is far-fetched, at best, if not outright malicious.

So that means they can't fire a weapon properly?
I would think an FBI agent would be able to take someone down if needed
I understand what you are saying but at the same time I have a hard time truly believing it
It doesn't matter one way or the other
The dude finally surrendered and all of those law enforcement men and woman who were out there all day and night made it home safely
