We got to be part of the "problem" today. Moved our oldest into Lechner today. Even went to HEB, Lowe's and Blue Baker
Thank you for contributing to our local economy.

I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.

Awesome and welcome back! This town would not have even existed without a college being built on a prairie and a train station built so students could get here

Bryan existed well before the college was built on the prairie. Bryan was a major cotton and banking hub. It did very well before the college. Now College Station is a whole different story.

Ah, so without TAMU, Bryan would be like Mumford now. Got it.

Yeah, and Shiro had the major cotton gin in Central Texas, plus a railroad stop between Dallas and Houston. Bryan would be Hearn without the College.

Ps. What did you say to get suspended?

Remember Sanger-Harris department stores? The first named 'Sanger's' store was located in Bryan in the 1860's. They also had stores in Millican, Hearne, Calvert, Bremond, Kosse and Groesbeck (as well as Corsicana, Sherman and the eventual flagship store in Dallas).

But it was Norm who said, "It's a dog eat dog world and I'm wearing milk-bone underwear."

Both communities can work together and do great things. Each have their strengths and weaknesses.

Without TAMU, College Station wouldn't exist. Bryan would be about the size of Lufkin or Nacogdoches, not Mumford or even Hearne. You forget that every county that touches Brazos County and many that are two counties away are in almost exclusively rural areas. Those people need to shop and access to health care.

You might be right but those in counties to the east and south would go to Houston, west to Austin and north to Waco possibly.

With the return of students, motor cycle cops are back out in full force. Just FYI, the speed limit in front of Kyle drops to 35 for about 800 yards...
