My son's Nissan Altima sustained some type of windshield damage while parked in the garage at The Stack and the crack is spreading such that I don't think his car will pass inspection next month.

Anyone have good or bad experience with windshield replacement in the BCS area? Who would you recommend or not recommend?

Not that you shouldn't fix the windshield, but it is not an item of inspection.

Used Safelite for my wife's Equinox twice my Tahoe and my dads impala all with no problems

That depends on where the crack is. It is an item of inspection if it is across your view. I had a car not pass inspection because of this.

Then you got taken by the inspector. See here. As long as it does not interfere with the wipers then it will not cause a problem.

Safelite recently did mine and I was pleased with their service
