I have and continue to do this to the fullest extent I can. However, I have soured on many local businesses that, frankly, just aren't very good, don't try hard, or are badly managed. In these cases I find such businesses always want people to support them JUST because they are local, and not because they offer something of value. I also find that it is precisely these local businesses that go under, more often or not. So yes, we SHOULD support local businesses, and they in turn should not take our community for granted.
Any form of Grocery Store near the Road House/Cheddars area on University!
How bout a truck stop? East side of Barron and 6 should suffice.

Wow, lots of hostility toward local businesses here. Seems like many people have never run their own business and/or had to deal with the public. I think waiting tables or working a counter in high school or college is good for kids so they can see what it's like from the other side. It's an eye opener for sure.
That said would love to see a Buc-ee's, and one of those new Amazon bookstores.

I would like to see a Jason's Deli or Panera or even McAlisters around Tower Point. Blue Baker doesn't do it for me!

Really surprising JD hasn't already expanded or announced plans to expand. The current location kills it and can be a parking nightmare at times. BB doesn't do it for me either.

All the stick-on chrome do-dads you could ever want and employees who barely know how to even start their own cars. Bring your own part numbers and verify them before taking any parts from Autozone.jmazz said:

According to the interview with the spokesperson for the development (about six months ago) they would be releasing the names in bunches of five to ten. I'm thinking something will come out soon as the HEB is scheduled for late summer opening?
I'd love a good art/drafting supply store.
