If you are buying a lot of lumber McCoys hands down is the place to buy. On big bulk buying they best the other two any day of the week. Usually not even close.

Depends on the item. On shingles the big box stores are hard for them to match or beat
Why is it that a Bryan home needs to be remodeled?
It's a 1935 bungalow that needs to get the former home handyman owners work out of it.
Neither is good for service, they are DIY stores. Service isn't their game. Buddy's or Factory Builders offer service along with the sale.

I just renovated a townhome, I used both places, they each carry different items. Lowes had better appliance selection and price, carpeting selection and I think it's better laid out. Home Depot blinds were better sizes, had better tile choices in beige and size I wanted.
Personally we've always found Lowe's to have far better customer service. If that matters.
I highly recommend Callaway Lumber in north Bryan for building materials

I usually get everything at Lowes over Home Depot
The cs Home Depot is one of the worst I've ever been to. Never have what I want and nothing good in customer service.
