We have 1 opening remaining. I'm good with 6 teams making playoffs with a bye for top 2 teams. Is anybody opposed?

** one thing to note is that ESPN will probably automatically make the "top 2" teams really just the top team from each division. So in theory, you could have two teams in same division with 2 losses and a team in other division with 4 and I believe the 4 loss team would have one of the byes. I believe It's the same with deciding regular playoff seeding also.

I'm good with 6 playoff teams and winners from each division getting 1st round bye. That's how it is in NFL, regardless of record.

Anybody know of anybody who would like to play? We have 1 spot available. Would love to get the league filled as soon as possible so we can begin discussing draft date.

IF it comes down to it, the wife has expressed a small interest in playing. She joked about drafting players based on how cute their uniforms were though........ I think I can teach her enough to get her by. This is a huge IF we need the spot filled.

I would think a Sunday afternoon around the end of August would be best. The last preseason games are end of August, so we would already have seen the "dress rehearsal" games by late August.

I'm good with 26th, but the more important question is when do we learn draft position? Would like to know as soon as possible to start preparing. It helps with your mock draft scenarios.

As soon as we get this last spot filled, I'll be happy to generate the random draft order

Ok, she got back to me. She's going to talk to the hubby tonight and will let me know. Does this put us at 9 or 11 teams? Do we have a filler or am I cringing at all my wifes picks.......

We are currently at 11. One more will make it full at 12.

Draft is tentatively set for Sunday August 26th at 1 pm central.

The spot is your wife's if she wants it. If you guys don't want it, I'm fairly certain we can get it filled in short order.

I'm all for letting someone play who WANTS to play. She was just being nice and filling so I could play. Hit up the guy above this post and see if he still wants in.

How about 1:30 pm central? I think I remember somebody mentioning we had a player over seas? If that's the case, we need to do the draft early afternoon.
