To our Aggie family: we were saddened earlier this week to learn of the passing of former First Lady Barbara Pierce Bush. As you may know by now, Mrs. Bush's final resting place will be on our campus near the George H.W. Presidential Library & Museum.

Mrs. Bush's interment is a private event to be held on Saturday afternoon, April 21. All information related to Mrs. Bush is available at https://www.barbarapbush.com/. All information related to Mrs. Bush and her connection to Texas A&M is available at http://tx.ag/barbarapbush.

The route of the funeral motorcade for Mrs. Bush was announced earlier this week. Details are at http://tx.ag/BushMotorcade. You can also view a map of the motorcade route, as well as where the public is welcome to view it, at http://tx.ag/BushViewing.

The university has set up a Remembrances Collection drop-off site in Research Park for those wishing to honor the legacy of Mrs. Bush: http://tx.ag/BushRemembrance. In lieu of flowers, the Bush family has requested that donations be made to the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy: https://www.barbarapbush.com/memorial-fund.

Our campus Muster ceremony, scheduled for 7p.m. on Saturday in Reed Arena, will continue as planned. However, we do ask that you do not arrive until 6p.m. to help alleviate traffic.

We know Mrs. Bush was a special part of our campus, and many of you have stories of your interactions and experiences with her. We invite you to share them with us below as we celebrate the life and legacy of this remarkable public servant.
