Mine went up about 4%, not too bad I guess.

Anyone have experience with solar panels as an improvement? I had mine installed 2/2018 and didn't even think about it effecting my taxes.

They are definitely in. 2 single family properties in Bryan up 17.91% and 19.91%. One in College Station up 9.05%. I have never needed to protest the values before but looks like I will this year.

They can't raise the value more than a certain % per year. The loss is how much will have to wait till next year.

I was under construction Jan. 1st and still not done. We had spent 10% of our construction budget. The house didn't have a roof, windows, and wasn't completely framed. They hit me for about 75% of my total budget and almost doubled my lot value. The square footage isn't close either.

Up 10% in Southwood Valley. In five years, value of the lot has gone from 19.9K to 45K. Ridiculous.

I noticed the BCAD had started doing that, especially in the areas just south of campus, presumably to reflect that the land was more valuable than the house (teardowns)? However, if this is something they were trying to do elsewhere for conformity, can someone direct me to where they provide that information- meaning did they ever explain their intent and process for doing this? Our land value increased a year ago, as did everyone around us but then this year they raised the house value up a LOT. I need to look at some comparables and see what is up.
