It's both buildings, actually. Hooters is going to be occupying the old Academy building in what they're going to call a MegaHooters. It'll offer typical Hooters fare combined with a large retail operation selling tight clothes and whatnot. Silk Stockings is going to go into the old Gander Mountain with 10 stages and 3 DJ booths. I also hear they're going to build a skybridge between the two.veritas47 said:

Anyway... I wouldn't mind a Burlington going in that space, but I also think Trader Joe's would kill it here AND if it goes into that space, it would bring more business into that side of the bypass. I've always thought it odd how sparse our cities look when driving all the way through on HWY 6. It's getting better, but still pretty sparse.

I'm not sure that I agree with you on that.
The main three Academy clothing brands are Magellan (fishing), Game Winner (hunting), and BCG (fitness). I know from personal experience that all of those last a long time...and I'm not easy on outdoor clothing. Other than those, everything else is name brand ...Under Armor, Nike, Adidas, etc...
The golf section may be better, but I wouldn't really know since I play golf from time to time, but I'm not a golfer. You probably know a lot more about that section than I do.
What would be awesome if we are really wildly speculating is an underground walkway from Grand Station to an indoor go cart track.

A Field and Stream (Dick's) might make sense. The stores I have been in carry a deep line of Carhart, including big and talls, which seems to be in short supply around here.
Since we don't have enough of these, I'm guessing a conglomeration of banks and nail salons.

If the start up funds are realized, then look for Zoolander Mountain in that location. It is a complete gun shop with gun range staffed by fully trained male models.
