I have a lot of books that I want to donate. Mix of fiction and non-fiction. I am not sure where to take them. Any ideas?

Ditto. Half Price Books will also give you a coupon for 10% off when you sell. Great way to recycle and let others read.

Other ideas include church garage sales. Many will be coming up soon. Also consider asking a nursing home.

The correctional center is extremely appreciative of donated books, paperback only.

From the link right above this one (now, right below)...

You can donate your books to Books & a Blanket at the Household Hazardous Waste Event. Saturday, April 28, 2018, 7 am - 2 pm.

Brazos County Jail to the inmate Library. Must be paperback only..

Nursing homes or the information desk at College Station Medical Center.

There are also several book bird houses around town where you can leave a book take a book. There is one on Walton, one at the park at d Emerald Forest. There is one on Cortez I think, off Deacon between Welsh and 2018. There is also one on off Edelweis, the Welsh side of Rock Prairie Elementary. It is the Second Street on the right. Again, I don't remember the name of the street but I know how to get there

Brazos Church Pantry.

They have a small lobby that serves the community. Every time I have been in there to serve they always have a stack of books for clients to take.

Children friendly? Drop off at Books and a Blanket at the storage place next to Sam's Club.
