Anyone been there since it's switched owners?

I was good friends with Mr & Mrs G.... Wife and i always went on our anniversary and didnt know they had been bought out until the day of our 16th anniversary.. went anyways because it was graduation weekend.

Menu is currently the same but i feel there will be changes..

Half the reason we went was because we liked talking to Mrs. G... The new owners are personable,, but not as much as the previous owners... But then they're new... so I dunno...

Not saying its bad, just different...

Anyone visit recently?

(And anyone who says anything bad about MR & Mrs G i will declare a troll and should be banned for life.. )

If half the reason you liked a restaurant was because of conversation with the owners, then I can't imagine how you would go back based on food alone.

Food would have to be twice as good.

That really would not be hard to achieve at all, the bar is pretty low.

I loved the old, old Cenare's of the 1990's. I had my wedding rehearsal dinner there in 1995. I tried it once after the G's took over and didn't care for it all. Haven't been back since. I'd be curious to know what changes the new owner's are going to make.

So, you're saying you park at the old man's pizza joint without getting yelled at? You grease him with honey or boudoir pics?

It's Cenare, not Cenare's rubes.

Have not eaten there for years. My recollection is very nice atmosphere, nice people. But like Caffe Capri, more of a "pasta house" than an Italian restaurant. Unimpressive wine list.

BCS has never had an outstanding Italian restaurant, though Paolo's sort of tries.

Willing and happy to give them another shot if new management upgrades.

We're longtime and frequent customers. Probably 15-20 times/year?

Specific menu items we like that can't get anywhere else as good.

Biggest drop off in past couple of months is service level. They're slow and kind of (mildly) unorganized.

Not horrible, but noticeable

None of us could discern any diff in quality or taste of the food.

One of our favorite date night places. Enjoyed both locations; will miss seeing the Mr and Mrs; both very gracious people and I wish them the best.
