anyone have one placed in their home?
we are building and have one spec'd, and are figuring out exactly what we want.
we know we want it electric, and it only has to have one stop
won't need more than 200 lb capacity - probably not even that much, to be honest

Not sure you will actually use it, but your kids will have a blast with it.

Grandparents had one. They only had to use it maybe a half dozen times a year...but where damn glad to have when they did. A comment my grandfather made more than once.

Designed only one in a house since the 70's
The owner decided to build it self, allowed the plumber to run a line through the chase, no one wanted the expense of correcting that, so NO dumb waiter.

Since then, the residential elevators' price came screaming down, so this is what's elected to serve
otherwise they simply buy duplicate appliances to serve upstairs (the primary purpose it serves).

Seems like a fun appliance, let us know what it cost, how it works, what it serves and IF you'll ever to do this again.

Yes, but we did not do electric. We love it and find it very useful to move things to the attic.
