My 14yo son and I are here this week with family. He's missing basketball practice, and I'd love some suggestions for places to workout/play a little while we're here. TAMU Rec center? Some other place? Thanks!

Where are you staying? There are several city and school facilities that are available.
Some options are Tarrow Park, Crompton Park, Central Park, Oaks Park, and Rock Pairie Elemntary has a covered outdoor court.

In-laws are in Foxfire... rock prairie is close obviously. Wouldn't mind some pickup games with folks to keep him running some...
There are often games at Rock Prairie in the evening after 6:00 when Kids Klub is over. I also see people playing on the courts behind the pool at Bachmann.
The Pebble Creek park court is covered and lighted.
