Republic was always my favorite. I miss that place.
The Campfire @ the Stella is a very anniversary worthy place. You can eat and have drinks on the patio overlooking the lake walk.
Not sure what is open this evening though!

I don't think you can beat the republic, but it is closed on Sunday.
America was built on speed, hot, nasty, badass speed.
When the t- bone is on menu at christophers it's hard to beat.

Sadly, I love the Republic bur he does not sell pime steaks even though he charges like they are prime. I drive to Houston for Ruth's or Perry's for prime steaks. I get seafood at the Repiblic.

I admit I haven't been to readfield's in awhile but last time I was there they do not sell prime. So if you want a great steak at home my vote goes to prime from heb.TexasAggie_02 said:

Oddly enough....I have got some very good steaks from Olive Garden. They have always been cooked exactly as I have ordered. This is not true of any other place I have ordered steak from...except the ones my honey bun cooks.

Had a bone in rib eye at Republic a few weeks back that might be the worst I've had. I work in the beef industry and have eaten in a lot of steaks houses. My wife's filet was fine, but that is now two rib eyes at the Republic that were below and well below average.
Best in town hands down.
I've had a number of really bad steaks at Republic. Everything else is fine, but the steaks were awful. If I want a real good steak, it might be among the last places I go to.greentab81 said:

I've tried two at the Republic. Both were nice pieces of beef but lacked flavor.
