Dr. Anne Moser CHI St. Joseph on Holleman and Anderson. 979-693-3313. I have the same insurance and she is wonderful. She took over for Dr. George McIlhaney.
All the Scott & White and St. Joe's physicians take BCBS.

Is your insurance BCBS HMO or PPO? Not many local providers take BCBS HMO (not a single provider at Scott and White).
Dr Julie Lim is a St Joseph doctor, yet she claims she is not on the list. And, I checked the insurance website - she is not listed. That is my current doctor.dubi said:

Wow, didn't even realize there still was BCBS HMO. You will need to go to their website and put in your zipcode to get a virtually non-existent list of providers.
If he is taking new patients, see Dr. Garth Morgan at St. Joseph's family medicine. He is awesome.
Garth Morgan does not take the HMO, either. I have it also. However, I pay cash at the time of all office visits and they cut the already reasonable fee in half.. I usually pay $53 per office visit unless injections are involved.
Dr. Richard Herron is my Dr., he takes the HMO
Dr. Goerig at College Station Med Plus is about one of the only providers that is contracted with BCBS HMO. He is a wonderful doctor and also specializes in sports medicine. His office number is 979-703-1902. Be warned though, if you need to see a specialist, most times you will have to travel to Houston to be seen.

There is a list on the BCBS website - I was just looking for suggestions. It's just a list. I don't know the names. I'll look into the few suggestions made so far

When Obama Careless said I could not keep my doctor any more...the PPO to HMO trap, I took the list to my doctor and he looked it over and gave me some recommendations. I will see if I can dig it up over the weekend, however, you could do the same and see if your old doctor has any suggestions off of the HMO list.

Damn - even University Pediatrics doesn't take the BCBS HMO - Only 8 pediatricians.
Anyone know anything about one of these guys for my son?

I just called my Dermatologist, who is at S&W. They told me that the insurance company's website is in error - NONE of Baylor S&W takes BCBS HMO

Interesting. I have BC/BS and have seen a couple S&W doctors recently. They both took my insurance.
I see David Buras at the Physicians Center...takes BCBS, and I never have problems getting an appointment right away. Others speak highly of the other doctors there. Stop by and chat with staff and see what you think.
Did you read above the he has BCBS HMO? You probably have the PPO which gives more choices.texasaggie2015 said:

Someone else recommended him. I may go with him.
Dr Pierce my urologist is not on the list either. But $85 for a check up once a year at the cash price is do-able. Dr Barry Paull is also on the list.
I just have no idea what to do about my son's pediatrician. Only those 8 listed above are my choices for him.

No, I did not put the addreses, but these were local. Finnigan was at 2605 Osler. Most of the others were all in 1 clinic at 1700 E University Dr.
I think Finnigan comes once a week or month or so from Austin to see kiddo hearts here. I know one of that group does it used to be Dr Patt. I was near Austin before coming here so I know most of those Austin docs. He is not on the family physician list. I have an internist as my primary thru United right now, though.
Kane, Kokash, and Finnegan are pedi sub specialists. Neither have offices here in B/CS. They visit a couple of times a month to see local patients.
Kokash and Kane come from Temple to see patient's at the pedi dept of Scott and White at University Dr.
So, 1700 University Dr E is S&W?
Kane, Nandgaonkar, Alidon, Chan, Kokash and Leavelle are all at 1700 E University Dr.
