Just received a automated call from CSPD about a missing 17 y/o autistic child. Message was vague but to check your backyards and do not approach him. Fond of playground equipment and bodies of water. Call CSPD if found. Hope this gets out on more social media...how frightening for him to be lost!

Area would be a great help.
I don't have a land line and just got back in town.

The automated call didn't say an area but listening to police scanner it is in the Wood Creek area. Command post is set up at Scott & White Hospital. They activated reverse 911 in a 8 mile radius.

Thanks, we'll keep an eye out. Hope the locate him quickly.

I was thinking about this a little last night. If they included an area, would people that were not in that area still pay attention? Part of me thinks that not listing a location is better.

I'm also very happy to see they found him safe. We decided to take a walk to the park in our neighborhood last night just to make sure he wasn't there.

That's a very good point.

Does reverse 911 work on cell phones? I haven't had a land line since 2004
